Out sourced letter writting -
Hey hey,
After writting about the cold callers in the last blog It reminded me of a story my friend told me about the company he works for...... (I'm not gonna mention the company but it's one of those companies that sends you bills ever now and then.)
So the story goes like this the company out sourced some of the letter writting to India because the labour is cheaper... Some companies do the same with phone calls and did you realise that when these people are calling you at 5/6pm our time its like 3am where they are they work strange hours to beable to call you....
Anyway there was a problem and they had to recall the letter writting work back to the UK because the English language is a strange thing.....
An elderly lady wrote a letter because her husband had died (sad i know) She put this all in a letter saying that she needed to change the names on the account due to the fact that she had lost her husband! The people in India wrote her back a letter saying that there was no problem with changing her account info and that they hoped she found her husband soon!
I'm sure you will be glad to know that chimpsteeparty.com is UK based and the only person who works in a strange country at funny hours is me!!!!

How to deal with cold callers.. -
Hey hey,
Today i need to talk about cold callers.... Are any of you cold callers???? You make my life a misery... NO i don't want double glazing and NO I don't want a new mobile and NO I don't want a free water cooler and NO I definatly don't want to change my gas and electric supplier......
The best way I've found to deal with cold callers is this......
When they say "Can i speak to Mr Teeparty please?" I say "Yes no problem what is it regarding please?" They say "Its about your .....****" (whatever it is about) and I then say "Ok I get him for you now!" Then i put the phone down and leave it off the hook untill it starts to make that beep beep beeping noise and I know they're gone...... This works a treat because your a time waster you get taken off the call list and the company stops bothering you!
Papa-ganush sent me this gem to share with the group (He sent it to the email below) and now the next time those pesky little buggers call from where ever / whomever i'll try this little ditty on them!

This blog entry is a bit of a recap for anyone new who is to this website....
So first of all hello!
I'm johnny teeparty I write the blog and sometimes i come up with some of the T-shirt ideas (the best ones!!!) Which brings me nicely to my first point...
The design a tee competition. hit this link or go to the design comp tab on the home page for full details but the jist of it is you send us a T-shirt design and if we think it's good enough to make we will give you £50 yes £50 and 12 tees yes 12 tees.... thats £200 worth for 10mins with your crayons out so hit the tab and flex your funny bone!!

Got a new addiction! -
Hey hey,
Hows everyone doing? good good lovely good good?
I've got a new addiction it's ...."the hit US cop series" The wire. I've resisted this for a long time everyone around me has been saying watch The wire it's great.. and one person started to relay every second of it to me and i stood there and nodded my head and thought.
"God why won't you shut up if i wanted to watch the wire (nod nod) I'd go out and buy it in a box set format take a day off work sit in my pants and watch it from start to finish (nod nod) like i did with the west wing, six feet under and band of brothers. (nod nod) But while i was watching all these did i once (nod nod) did i once say anything more to you that have you seen the west wing? (nod nod) No? You should! it's amazing...."
When i switch back to the person who is talking at me they are only on episode 4 and they are jabbering something about drug dealers and cops taking pictures???? And now i'm thinking.
"Shut up shut up"
but I'm too nice so i keep smiling and nod somemore... But in my head I'm thinking.
"It's a good job i'm not listening to you (smile nod nod) because this would be spoiling my enjoiment of the programme when i do get around to watching it.. (smile nod nod) Why won't you shut up! for the love of god be quiet! (smile nod nod)"
This person did finally stop. And if i'm honest i didn't listen to a single word... I lent the first season (they are american you have to call them seasons.) from my friend. and i started to watch it a couple of days ago...............
and i just wanna say............................................... Have you seen The Wire?..........

Back from the break! -

Right I'm back Sorry sorry sorry..... I know it's been over a month, Have you missed me??? Well you've been sending me lots of great clips and pictures for me to share with the group..... and you've also sent in some more ideas for the design a tee competition. Some are great and may get made but some are disturbing!!!! there are some sick sick people out there!
So did you guys and girls (yes girl read this crap as well just check out my friends list on facebook I've captured some on there.) ave a good christmas holiday time off work??? Or was your's mad busy like mine? I didn't stop!! had 2 days off for xmas and spent the whole time running around like a blue arse fly.....
I've got big plans for Chimpsteeparty this year, lots of exciting things are in the pipeline inc new products and live events!

Odd tattoos?. -

OMG! check these out.... I'm lost for words...... Just in case any of you guys don't know!!! Tattoos are for life!!!
I met a woman the other day who was in the process of having a tattoo removed. It was only small about 4cms wide and 6cm high it was a picture of an anchor!!! The cost of having this removed was £600 She had to have 10 painful lazer treatments... The original tattoo cost her £35 and is on chest just by her heart! She had it done when she was drunk and get this..... 15 years old!!!! who would tattoo a drunk 15 year old girl on there chest!!!! It's insane!....
Do you think these guys will wake up one day and think WHY!
